Coming This Saturday: Harry Potter And The Liveblogging of The Delivery of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!”

Amazon has promised — promised! — me that they will delivery my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows this Saturday, July 21, 2007. But when? And can they come through?

Will it be early enough on Saturday that I’ll be able to finish it before the actual spoilers from people who have read the actual, physical book come spooling out of the ether? Or will it be right up against the 7:00pm deadline that Amazon has promised?

I’ll spend a little bit more time on Saturday deconstructing the delivery time as promised by Amazon, but here is the relevant paragraph:

Most deliveries will be made by UPS or the U.S. Postal Service, either with your regular mail delivery or in a special, later delivery. All copies that qualified for Release-Date Delivery should be delivered by 7:00 p.m. in your time zone. If you have not yet received your copy, please wait until 7:00 p.m. on July 21 before contacting Customer Service.

Earlier is obviously better. So please gods, let it be UPS and not the Postal Service, because we always have late-in-the-day delivery at best. Maybe an Amazon Prime customer will help. Who knows?

No matter what happens, I’ll let you know, on at least an hourly basis from the time I wake up Saturday until the time it is delivered.
