  Let’s see, MTV has been doing this exact thing with their reality shows for nearly as long as this person has been alive; certainly as long as he can remember. Let’s have a moratorium on people complaining about how they were mistreated by reality show editing.

  This week has many themes…one is the realization that all of the contemplated media downloads aren’t as free as they look on the surface. The BBC realizes this could impact the bottom line.

• Can Amazon and TiVo win TV download supremacy?
  Because we already own TiVos, this becomes an extension of the TiVo functionality. Which means, at first blush, we’re cautiously optimistic that this could be a nice back-up to a TiVo’s main functionality. Unless our TiVos start "accidentally" forgetting to record shows that we can purchase from Unbox. However, is this a reason to rush out and buy a TiVo? No.
• Senator Carl Krueger Thinks iPods Can Kill You
  On behalf of everybody who uses portable media players to help them get through their daily workout on the streets of whereever they live: Bite me, Senator Carl Krueger. Aren’t there more important issues facing New York City?
• Mobile ESPN to relaunch through Verizon
  Again, exclusivity is not the way to go. ESPN has effectively cut its potential audience by more than half.
• VeriSign to spend over 0M on upgrade
  It’s still unclear how this will position them to become the next iTunes. Presumably, someone will put the pieces together.
• Music industry group fires back at Apple
  Look at it this way: at least they’re talking about the issue.
• Cattle Drive Ends for "Rawhide" Singer
  Wait! Didn’t John Belushi die a quarter-century ago?
