The only reason that we don’t remember it as an all-time classic is that it got overshadowed by their next three records, which are as good as any rock ‘n’ roll albums ever recorded by anybody ever. I was going to write "but still, most bands would kill to come up with such a wonderful, beautiful mess," but most bands really wouldn’t.
