    That EA link is very interesting. I’ve always been puzzled that video games don’t get more coverage from a content distribution point of view, especially since there’s so much action there. Valve’s Steam platform is basically revolutionizing the way PC games are sold and changing the face of game development (many smaller and independent devs, who otherwise would’ve never found distribution from someone like EA, have been able to make significant profits by selling directly to consumers through Steam) – and it’s doing so with almost none of the trials and tribulations other forms of content have experienced.

    Of course, PC games are a dwindling subset of the market now, compared to gaming consoles. But digital distribution is making huge in-roads there, as well, albeit more slowly.
