Right. What I really want is to somehow stay unspoilt on Harry’s fate prior to cracking open the book — which I promise to do on release day — much less finishing it. Is it possible to engage with the media on nearly any level during a cultural event of this magnitude and not be spoiled?

  1. Yet Another Potter Reader says

If you guys do figure out how to get through the first few weeks after the Harry Potter onslaught unspoiled, would you please for the love of God let us know? I’m doubly cursed because I’m addicted to the Jim Dale audiobook editions, and it takes me weeks of commuting to finish those, so I’ll be behind the curve. I’m thinking about locking myself in a room with no phone, TV, or Internet whenever I’m not actually driving to or from work, until I get to the end. Maybe no windows even, just to be safe.
