It all goes back to suing Napster instead of figuring out how to work with it. It was the first time that people who had always treated the record industry as a necessary evil could circumvent it, and the industry reacted with lawsuits against the people who — by definition! — could have been their biggest customers. While it’s possible to feel sorry for the people who truly love music and are losing their jobs right now, not much sorrow is felt for the greedheads who made the flaming bed from which they can’t escape. - Traveling Wilburys Join Rihanna Atop U.K. Charts
