We love the Flickr, but we don’t think that their attempt to take on YouTube is going to last very long with a 90 second / 150MB limit. - PROTEST NUDE MODEL SHOOT ON ‘ANTM’
The PTC is at it again. Saying that a blurred image of a nude model "crossed the legal threshold for broadcast indecency." Oh really? Which law would that be, exactly? Or maybe the PTC have special filters which can see those evil female nipples through the blurriness. Certainly, they have those filters in their dirty little minds. - S.F. closing torch ceremony canceled
There’s something wrong about holding official Olympic ceremonies at undisclosed locations. This might have something to do with the Olympic torch being enrolled in the federal witness relocation program. - The Feelies reunite

All of the moralists screaming about steroids ruining the fabric of Baseball might want to remember that the game has never been entirely clean. Roger Clemens, come home, all is forgiven! Also, in the running for Quote of the Year: "Oh wow! What happened to yesterday?"
I beg to differ on the Flickr video thing. It’s pretty clear that videos on Flickr are specifically NOT supposed to compete with YouTube or any of the other gazillion video sharing services. Instead, they’ve found a way to add video without significantly distracting from what they do best. Read the Flickr blog post announcing the addition of videos. They’re basically viewing them as “long photos”.
I’m not sure if it will work or not, but it’s definitely an interesting approach.
