Of course, it’s probably just as well that particular portmanteau didn’t exist in 1981, when Medium Medium — part of a small sub-group of U.K. post-punk bands that just took one word and repeated it twice for their names — put out their only undeniable song from their only otherwise pretty deniable album, The Glitterhouse.
