This week, we’re discussing the following topics:

  • The End of the World
According to this billboard popping up in various cities, the World is going to end on May 21. Tim wonders how various media outlets are going to cover it. Perhaps we should have stared this podcast sooner.
  • Coco Crisp’s hair
Last week, Oakland Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp went for the full-on Oscar Gamble, and apparently it caused a bit of controversy. In a day and age where NFL teams are required to have at least one Dreadlock Guy, can crazy hair still be controversial, or are those days long gone? Kirk leads the investigation.
  • Too Much Culture, Too Little Time
Last week, NPR’s Monkey See blog published a lovely essay about the simple fact that we’re never going to have a enough time to experience all of the awesome things we want to experience. As men approaching (not “of,” goddammit!) a certain age, time has become more and more of a factor. Jim wonders how we deal with it.

Oh, and One More Thing:

  • Tim recommends Tina Fey’s new book, Bossypants, especially on his new iPad 2.
  • Kirk is really enjoying David Thorne’s 27/b6 website and his book The Internet is a Playground.
  • Jim is totally into this years Harmonic Convergence of Great TV.

We didn't make a single R.E.M. joke!

This is a First Edition of our podcast, and as such, we are sending it directly to the Library of Congress, whether they want it or not.

Here’s your chance to download this signed First Edition of our podcast, and in thirty years, make your fortune by auctioning it off on eBay! Unless, of course, the world ends on May 21.

This podcast was recorded at 7:00pm PDT, Monday April 25, 2011 via Call Graph over Skype. It was edited on Audacity.
